Helping you stage, market, and sell your Home
Home Staging
Home Staging is the process of highlighting a home's best assets while minimizing it's flaws. As a Home Staging Professional, and also an Interior Designer, I enter the property with the eye of a potential buyer looking for positives as well as negatives and bring in a Design aspect different them most Home Stagers. Also being a licensed Realtor gives me the insight of what exactly it takes to get your house Sold. When going through your home our job is to remove any distractions so that it can appeal to the largest number of potential buyers and highlight the most sellable features. The biggest job for the home owner is to realize their home is now a marketable product and that means letting go of your personal style and let the professionals depersonalize your home and stage it. To compete in the market today, your house has to stand out, be priced competitively, and have an edge on the competition This is why Home Staging benefits the seller, and usually results in a faster sell and at a higher selling price.
Artistic Home Staging
Before Staging After Staging
What is De-Personalizing your home and what are the benefits? As Home Staging Professionals, we encourage sellers to detach themselves from the property. Take down personal photos, de-clutter, and feature the house's features, not your personal style. Potential buyers cannot envision themselves living in your home if it looks like someone is already there every turn they take and they are focusing on all your cute family pictures and not the home itself. You will have to pack when the home sells, so best to do it it stages; stage 1 is before it's on the market, packing away things you don't use and items that are cluttering your home.
Is Home Staging similar to ReDesign? Staging is for the benefit of selling a home and not for actual living enjoyment. For example, a television might be removed from a room because it visually looks better. Or perhaps, furniture is pared down to just the essentials so the rooms appears bigger and has a better flow. Family pictures and personal photos are taken down so the potential buyer can start picturing their own family living there. ReDesign is for clients wanting to update their home for their own enjoyment, not for selling.
When should you start the Home Staging process? Ideally, at least a month before you intend to list it on the market. This will give both the home owner and the Home Stager enough time to properly get the home ready to show and be in the best possible selling condition.
